I use the Taranis plus for powered planes and thermal gliders where telemetry is useful,
and the Turnigy 9XR Pro for slope soarers at salty, sandy coastal sites.

Andrew I am an older modeller with a lot of experience in the 70's and 80's with rc getting back into it with electrics and on the learning curve. i just wanted to thank you for your great vids and no bull approach to flying. you are helping me lots. I bought what was a pretty cheap radio in a spectrum 6xi set which is dmss. I'm not sure whether it may be better to cut my losses and get a taranis 9 and go freesky as I seem to have problems with binding and set ups. I live in Castlemaine and am pretty much on my own as far as experienced guys here go. have you done a vid that shows how to set up a model from a to z?
