Landing Gear

Here's how I make landing gear using 2mm piano wire for the axle
and 20 x 1.5mm aluminium flat for the struts.
Wheels are pool noodle foam glued to bottle caps.

Piano wire axle has a bend on one end

Locking collett on the other end

Two 70mm pieces riveted on top of the aluminium struts to hold the landing gear in place.
I use Scotch Tough Tape to hold it on to the fuselage.

I also bent the Bixler 2 landing gear over and  just tape it to the underneath of the fuselage,
rather than cutting out a slot and crowding the cockpit.
